ABSTRACT
Introduction and objective:
Healthcare is one of the strategic areas of social and economic life undergoing continuous
and significant systemic changes. Medical institutions are generating increasing amounts of data, which has led in recent years to a noticeable rise in the demand for solutions that enable the creation of well-functioning and efficient analytical tools to support the improvement of management processes in these institutions.
Material and methods:
Data sets (revenue and cost-related) connected with the delivery of healthcare services, collected within internal hospital IT systems, as well as data obtained from applications provided by the National Health Fund, were analyzed. The MSR report enables control over the current performance of services during a given settlement period, both for the entire hospital and for individual organizational units, with a breakdown of the detailed scope of healthcare services provided
Results:
The creation of an innovative analytical tool which supports and streamlines the management process of the entity, is immediately feasible and does not generate additional costs. Automation of controlling methods significantly improves the quality of verification and the effectiveness of optimizing the processes of health service settlements.
Conclusions:
The creation and implementation of individualized, automated, dynamic analytical tools enables efficient management of the healthcare entity. The use of aggregated data through analytical tools increases the level of knowledge and awareness regarding the current condition of individual organizational units within the entity. The use of analytical
tools supports making accurate and appropriate management decisions, which have a significant impact on the financial efficiency of the facility.
